- Australian spacesuit technology startup company Metakosmos (Vyom Tech Pty Ltd) will share in $9 million in grants through the Mars Supply Chain Capability program to develop its integrated commercial spacesuit program, the Kosmosuit.
- Twelve Australian space projects aligned with NASA’s Artemis mission will share more than $9 million in funding to help drive innovation and support emerging Australian science.
- Metakosmos says the $250,000 grant will allow the company to improve the technological readiness of the Kosmosuit, which has been built with dual-use terrestrial applications.
- The firm is designing several different suits based on environmental conditions, including micro-gravity, lunar and Martian surfaces, and wholly space-based missions.
