Development of Regolithx's Lunar Oxygen Extraction Plant Has Begun.
Develop revolutionary technology to give customers an in-space refueling capability. Our technology will supply the first human habitats on the moon and power rockets to the edge of the solar system using lunar sourced fuel.
Designed to work as part of a network of in-space re-fueling stations, Regolithix's technology is capable of extracting oxygen for life support and fuel, as well as metals and minerals for manufacturing.
This novel process operates with a less corrosive atmosphere than the Molten Salt Electrolysis process and has no consumable parts. Other benefits include lower power requirements and in-built analysis equipment.
The Aqualunar Challenge - Introducing the 10 technologies set to purify water frozen in the Moon’s soil, 2024-07-23.
- The 10 UK teams will now be awarded £30,000 each to develop their technologies, ahead of their final submissions in January 2025.
