The nScrypt BFF is currently in space on board the International Space Station printing human heart and other forms of tissue in joint with Techshot.

3D print a human knee meniscus as part of the 4D Bio3 Program. This is because bioprinted structures and cells can thrive in microgravity environments, with cells maturing in a three-dimensional scaffold without the influence of gravity.

A joint team consisting of Florida-based nScrypt, space company TechShot, Inc, the Geneva Foundation and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) has successfully conducted its first 3D bioprinting test aboard the International Space Station (ISS). In the experiment, ISS astronauts used nScypt’s 3D BioFabrication Facility (BFF) to 3D print a human knee meniscus as part of the 4D Bio3 Program.

nScrypt's Research Arm Teams Up to Make Human Blood

nScrypt's research arm, Sciperio, is collaborating with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences' (USU) 4D Bio3 program, The Geneva Foundation, Safi Biosolutions, Advanced Bioprocess Services, and Massachusetts General Hospital to create solutions for future blood supply by making on demand human blood.

NASA Backs Project for 3D Printing Space Sensors

NASA granted $300,000 to Florida State University (FSU) and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) to pioneer a project using 3D printing to develop cutting-edge sensors capable of withstanding the harsh extremes of space. Vital for space missions, these devices aim to boost the durability and accuracy of spacecraft monitoring systems dramatically. This project, titled “Additive Manufacturing of Electronics for NASA Applications,” is led by the College of Engineering, a joint venture between FSU and FAMU, which highlights their partnership’s role in pushing the boundaries of space technology.
